There is a new kind of trivia happening over at Fifty Brews in Waterford Lakes by UCF (formerly Fusian Ultra Lounge, Casey’s Anthony’s ol’ stomping ground).
It’s called 3rd Degree and it’s a lot like Buzztime, already available at many sports bars in Central Florida. It’s TV-based and you play against other people at the bar. But unlike Buzztime you solely use your cell phone to answer the questions instead of that wireless “Playmaker” device or cell.
Text-enabled phones work fine and there is a free app for iPhone and Android users where they can also find other places to play the game. Right now I’ve only seen that it’s at Fifty Brews, but you can rank against people across the country who are also playing it. And, like most trivia (electronic or not) around town it’s free.
